About Us

Data for Learning is an education consulting organization founded in 2007 by David M. Fried, whose career in public education has spanned four decades, including 24 years as a NYC teacher and administrator and more than a decade as a central office leader for suburban schools.

Before retiring as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for the East Ramapo Central School District in Rockland County, NY, David led a standards-based, district-wide reform effort involving curriculum development, professional development and the utilization of data and technology to improve teaching and learning.
